1455 DeMaisonneuve boulevard West
On Thursday, March 6th, 2014, at Concordia University, the AGIC will present concurrent panels all day, beginning at 9:00 am, in the Faculty Lounge, Hall Building H-765, 1455 de Maisonneuve Blvd. West, Montreal. We encourage all to attend!
This year, we have an international range of papers and presenters on our topic, In/Tangibility: The Mystical, The Material, and the Messy In-Between. Our theme focuses broadly on how materiality, or the lack thereof, shapes and influences culture; the development and impact of spiritual and mystical thought, and the importance of engaging the senses within a tradition, asking how these concepts are found in religions, societies and civilizations. The special interest section, Oh, the Humanities!: Past, Present, and Future Trends in the Discipline presents papers that deal with how the humanities and social sciences have changed, the trends of scholarship and the disciplines’ influence in society.
